Start
Serendipity is a great way to explore a blog. But I realised over time, it would be a good idea to have a start page. A page that gives the visitor to the site, a bit of a curated journey.
I expect this page to change a lot. I will keep writing new blog posts about books I read, movies I watch, and experiences I have.
Books
I often write about books I read. At the end of every year, I share a list of books I enjoyed reading.
Here is my list from the years 2019, 2020, 2023 and 2024.
Tools
I also publish from time to time a list of online tools I use. Here is my list from 2020, 2022 and 2024.
WordPress and Open Source
As someone who has been an open source contributor, within the WordPress ecosystem, I write a often about WordPress.
A few years ago, I wrote about open-source and why I think it is authentic part of our lives. Later, I have weighed in on building in the open and also about finding mentors.
I have also shared some ideas for WordCamp India. It would be a very large conference around WordPress in India.
Films, TV series and more
When I like a movie, sometimes I blog about it. Sometimes, movies just inspire me and take me on a journey.
For example I took a deep dive into the Studio Ghibli world recently, thanks to a friend.
Recently, I have enjoyed watching movies that are quirky and different like ‘Perfect Days’.
Finally, one of the most visited post on this blog is this one about “Kalinka, a Russian folk song and its adaptation “Darling” in the Hindi film “7 khoon maaf”
Quirky, Whimsy and Weird
Some of my posts are more about culture or society. Things like tend to ruminate over, or ideas I explore.
There is no real pattern to such things I write and often write these things on a whim.
That said, some of my quirky, whimsical and weird posts are listed below
- Sidekicks and their main lead players
- Quirky Authenticity is better than Happy Syntheticity
- Books and their private worlds
- Magical Superpowers: practice, opportunity and privilege
