Firstly, a very happy New Year to you and your loved ones! In the last 3 months of 2021, I drove my car to Mumbai from Pune thrice. Once to spend a couple of days with my dad on his birthday, and the other two times to bring him to Pune for a couple of weeks staycation with me.
I had not met my father and sister for over 500 odd days.
These are pretty small things I got to do, but I feel immense gratitude for them.
In 2021, I just think of myself as plain lucky to have my loved ones survive through a terrifying 2nd wave in India. Lucky and privileged to be able to hunker down during lockdowns, while it looked like all governance systems around me were collapsing.
What do I want from 2022?
More normal things and less anger towards each other.
