Recently, I wrote about Prefect Days. Movies never really change my outlook too much, that usually books end up doing.
Like the main character, I often find myself watching shards of sunlight. It comes gently through the leaves of a large tree. I was delighted that there is word for this. It is called Komorebi 木漏れ日, a Japanese word.
On reading more about Komorebi, I came across this nice article on Chicago Botanical Garden.
Oddly enough, I looked up some of my travels on Google Photos. I discovered that I have been taking photos of sunlight passing through the leaves of a tree for many years. That was a nice surprise. This one I am sharing in this post is from Cambodia in 2019.
